- Adobe Photoshop CS3 .. I use it and love it.. (expensive) A good, less expensive alternative is Adobe Photshop Elements 6.0 .. it's a less powerful version of CS3 I also use Adobe Lightroom, for processing RAW files Photomatix for making HDR images.
- There's no question that it's Adobe Photoshop CS3, probably the most advanced program of ANY kind that "regular" people can buy. Start saving money now.
- best photo editing software would be Photoshop and Elements by Adobe, http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/index.html Corel Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 http://www.corel.com/servlet/Satellite/us/en/Product/1184951547051 Ulead PhotoImpact http://www.ulead.com/pi/runme.htm others freeware Gimp ~photo editor, http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html Photofiltre or studio http://photofiltre.free.fr/frames_en.htm Photoscape suite http://www.photoscape.org/ps/main/index.php Picasa album viewer http://picasa.google.com/ ..
- For ones you have to pay for, I agree with the people above me: Adobe Photoshop is amazing! But, if you would rather not spend all that money, I enjoy using DrawPlus 4. Picasa is another good one. I generally use them both on the same picture.
- For a beginner photoshop elements is probably the best. It's under $100. Photshop C2 will run you $600. Download a free trial from adobe.com that you can use for 30 days.
- i personally use microsoft digital image suite {anniversary edition} i dont like photoshop... but thats just me i also use photo impact pro &picasa
