How do I sell pictures I have taken to Publishers and companies?

I have taken many pictures over the past few years and have been urged on by friends and co-workers to look into selling some of my pictures. If I am contacted, I would be willing to discuss this.

1. If you have given those pictures to publishers and companies and they have been published with your contract terms settled then selling them would be wrong because its been copyrighted to your publishers.

3. Then sell them to your admirers. Why would I want to contact you? I have pictures I'd like to sell you, would you contact me?
